Das Entsorgungsproblem der Flügel aus Verbundwerkstoffen ausgedienter Windkraftanlagen ist ungelöst. Für das Fundament jeder heute in Standardgröße errichteten Windkraftanlage werden 1500 Kubikmeter Beton mit 180 Tonnen Stahl im Boden versenkt. Macht zusammen 3500 Tonnen Stahlbeton im Acker- oder Waldboden versenkt.
